8. What are the Couture Housing Terms and Conditions?
First night's deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE! The first night's deposit will be billed to your credit card including 12% tax. Any cancellations made between 1/26/2010 through 4/27/2010 will forfeit the first night's deposit (room and tax) only. Modifications to a reservation within 1/26/2010 through 4/27/2010 may be done without penalty.
ANY cancellations made between 4/28/2010 through your arrival date will forfeit the total amount (room and tax) for the entire stay. Any modifications made between 4/28/2010 and your arrival date that result in a shorter stay will forfeit the amount of room and tax for the total number of nights cancelled.
9. How do I make housing reservations?
If you didn’t book your hotel at the time of registration, you can book your hotel stay through Couture’s official housing agency, Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, by visiting this link or by calling 702-386-7805/ 800-479-6336 (International).

11. How do I know if I am a Cornerstone or Signature Retailer?
All Cornerstone and Signature Retailers were notified of their 2010 status in the Fall of 2009. Please see the Cornerstone FAQ’s or Signature FAQ’s for further details on these Couture Retailer categories.
How do I apply to be a Cornerstone or Signature Retailer?
Cornerstone and Signature applications for 2010 are no longer being accepted. The Couture 2011 application process will begin in August 2010. Please contact Jan Mohr, Couture Retailer Consultant, t: +1-281-359-4073 or jlmohr2000@embarqmail.com, on the guidelines and requirements of the Cornerstone and Signature Retailer program.

13. What is the fee to attend?
Couture is open exclusively to the best in class retailers who carry or wish to carry designers and brands in their stores. For world class retailers there is no charge to attend. However, all retailers must provide credentials in order to attend as a qualified buyer.
Certain classes of non-jewelry retailers are permitted to attend at cost. In order to gain access you must obtain written approval from the Couture Management team.
Non-exhibiting designers, manufacturers, and the general public are not permitted to attend the Couture event.
14. How do I get qualified to attend?
Register online here. If you have not attended Couture in the past two years, you will be prompted to fax in a minimum of two of the following documents:
Three invoice(s) showing purchase of FINISHED Jewelry within the last twelve months.
Business Card that includes your company name and address.
Business License indicating you are a retail business (NOT a seller's permit or Tax ID).
A Copy of the first two pages of your store lease or photograph of inside and outside of store.
Letter of Intent from an attorney or bank on official letterhead stating the intent to start a new retail business (this is acceptable for new businesses only).
15. Where do I send the required credentials if I am a first time buyer?
Please fax a minimum of two of the required credentials to 949-226-5626. If you do not have access to a fax machine you may mail credentials to:

16. Is this show open to the general public?
Couture is a trade only event. All buyers are required to show business identification (example: personalized business card, check stub, W2, tax related documents) and government issued ID to be allowed in the show. Retail stores found to register private or non-trade buyers will be subject to penalties.
Admission is NOT granted to:
persons not employed in the jewelry trade
persons operating from their homes,
children under the age of 16, including infants
non-exhibiting designers or manufactures,
loose stone dealers or wholesalers
wholesalers or suppliers
17. I have attended in the past, do I need to register again and if so, why?
Yes, each company must register for each event separately to ensure that we have the most current and accurate information for your company.
If you have not attended Couture in the past two years, you will need to apply to gain access to the event.
Qualified retailers who have attended Couture in the past may be pre-qualified. These retailers need only to log in, review and update information as needed to confirm their registration.
18. How will I know I am registered?
Online Registration
When you register online an immediate email confirmation will be sent to your email address provided. In order to complete your registration, you must proceed to Step 5 where the following text appears “PLEASE PRINT OUT THIS SCREEN FOR ALL REGISTRANTS. IT IS YOUR CONFIRMATION AND RECEIPT.” If you close out of registration prior to this step or do not receive a confirmation, your registration information was not saved.
Registering via mail or fax
If you register by fax or postal mail, you will only receive an email confirmation if you have completed all the required demographics and provided an email address. Please allow up to 2 weeks for fax or mail registrations.
19. I am bringing someone with me; do they need a badge to enter the show?
All attendees must be registered for a badge before they will be allowed to enter the show floor. No strollers or children under the age of 16 including infants are allowed at anytime.
20. How do I add more staff to my store/company once I’m registered and qualified?
Register your additional staff just as you registered originally. If you are registering as a first time buyer, you must resubmit your credentials.
21. When will I receive my badge in the mail?
All US and Canadian attendees that register prior to May 3rd will have their badges mailed 2-3 weeks before the show. If you are an international attendee or register after the deadline of May 3rd, your badge(s) will be available for pick up at Registration.
22. What are the show policies?
Couture 2010 IS A TRADE ONLY EVENT. In order to attend the Couture shows, you must be a qualified jewelry retailer. No private non-trade buyer is permitted on the show floor. All buyers are required to show business identification and government issued photo ID to be allowed in the show. Retail stores found to register private or non-trade buyers will be subject to penalties.
All attendees to Couture 2010 must be 16 years of age or older.
No refunds will be given.
Your badge is non transferable. It will be confiscated upon any attempts to transfer or sell it, and all parties will be banned from future shows.
